Gippeswyk Community Educational Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust in Ipswich. The Trust has three schools currently - Copleston High School, Britannia Primary School and Nursery and Rose Hill Primary School.

Copleston High School is a popular 11-18 mixed Academy noted for its caring and disciplined atmosphere. It was judged as a ‘good school with outstanding features’ by OfSTED in January 2018.

We require a HR Officer to work full time to manage the day to day administration of our busy HR Department which provides dedicated HR support for Copleston High School and across the Trust. The post holder will support the HR Director to provide an efficient and effective HR service to Copleston High School and across the Trust.  This will include recruitment, keeping the Single Central Record, absence management, contractual records and documentation, managing data and producing reports, dealing with payroll (including pre-payroll checking) and other employment queries. We are looking for someone who is hard-working and focussed, with good interpersonal skills, an attention to detail and an ability to react quickly to changeable situations. You will have an understanding of HR and education and an ability to encourage and further embed good practice in our employment practices. You must be CIPD qualified and have school or education experience. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in HR and to gain some solid experience of a wide range of HR activities.

Application forms and further details are available from the school website www.gcetrust.org.uk or by contacting us at applications@copleston.suffolk.sch.uk or on 01473 277250. For an informal discussion contact Jane Newall, HR Director on 07591387071
