Copleston High School is a popular 11 - 18 mixed comprehensive noted for its caring and disciplined atmosphere. It was judged as a 'Good' school by Ofsted in January 2018. As a school, we are committed to raising standards of learning and teaching within all subject areas. You will be impressed by the behaviour, ethos and outcomes of students across the school.

Applications are invited from those with experience of working with children and young people to support Heads of Year and the pastoral team to have a strong presence around the school supporting student's pastoral needs.

You will supervise small groups of students on occasions within the school's internal exclusion unit. The school prides itself on creating a culture of behaviour for learning. You will have experience of and / or a good understanding of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding procedures. You will understand professional boundaries and when to signpost students to other services. You will have an empathetic nature and will be a good listener.

You will have high standards and be committed to meeting the needs of the school and the wider community. The school has a supportive ethos and is committed to the professional development of staff.

Roll: 1,792 (includes 292 in the sixth form).
